COLCHA opened its doors on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, California, February 2006, and is my personal interpretation of Los Angeles' uniquely casual lifestyle and eclectic yet sophisticated aesthetic. With years of experiencing many cultures and countries, a background in design and a few years with a creative agency, I decided to create a boutique that really reflects my taste and style while incorporating my personal interpretation of the countries and cultures that I have been fortunate enough to experience. COLCHA has a unique and wonderful feeling, warm, vibrant and interesting, all at the same time! It’s a living space – alive with style, energy and hospitality.
The store offers a wonderful selection of design furniture, handcrafted pieces made from saddle leather, wood and metals, each piece is a work of art in itself with craftsmanship and design qualities that are stunning! Our found objects from hacienda doors to farmhouse tables each have a story behind them and add depth and warmth to any environment. I have tried to feature pieces that are unique in some way not easily available and will work with both contemporary and mixed environments. The collection covers a wide price range ensuring our shoppers in search of gifts and small indulgences as much pleasure as those furnishing a home.
